The Shaykh : There is another group that goes out for a picnic in the open countryside, and there is no harm in that. However, several things are obligatory in this regard. First: maintaining the prayer. First of all, regarding ritual purity: one must not be lax in performing wudu' (ablution) if water is nearby and one is able to carry with them two jerrycans or a tank to place there from which they can perform wudu'. This is not difficult in the present time, praise be to Allah.
Second: praying in congregation at its proper time. It is obligatory to pray in congregation at the time. As for lagging behind the congregation when it is possible and easy, they are sinful for doing so.
Third: they should strive to ensure that their gatherings are gatherings of good. They should take some books of tafsir (exegesis), books of hadith, or authentic books of preaching and read them in their leisure. They should read them at the beginning of the night. They should not strive to stay up late, because staying up late is harmful to the body and prevents prayer in the last part of the night. They are like those who are in the city; it should be that they increase in voluntary prayers, supererogatory acts, and the like.
Fourth: they should strive to visit the guests around them for the sake of reconciliation, teaching, and guidance, because this is of great benefit. No one should belittle any amount of knowledge. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2669Sahih (Darussalam) How good it is for people when they visit one another, taking comfort in one another, reconciling with one another, learning from one another, preaching to one another, and reminding one another. In this lies a great benefit. How much is that? Fifth: enjoining good and forbidding evil. If they hear from a group something that is not permissible, or see from them something that is not permissible, it is obligatory to contact them and speak to them with gentleness, softness, and good admonition, and to forbid them from the evil. One should say, "This is not the reward for the blessing that Allah has bestowed upon you, that you are in ease. This is a general blessing, praise be to Allah, of rain and rain. So remind them of the blessing of Allah and say, 'Do not be among those who exchanged the blessing of Allah for disbelief.' But do so with patience and gentleness. Let the one who enjoins good and forbids evil know that he is like a doctor with a patient. Does the doctor, when he sees a tumor in a patient, come with a claw to tear open the tumor? Or does he come with a scalpel, anesthetize the area, and cut with ease and softness? Answer: The second point is that those who are afflicted with sins are patients. Therefore, you will find in the Qur'an that every illness attributed to the heart is an illness of sins. [An-Nur 24:50] [Al-Baqarah 2:10].
Sixth: striving to ensure that those going out for a picnic are of the same age or close in age, meaning that it is not permissible for some to be young and others old, except for those who are with their families, for that is a different matter. But those who are companions to one another should not take the young with the old, because this may lead to fitnah (trial) without a person realizing it. A person may say to himself, "I am, praise be to Allah, secure and do not fear anything for myself." But let him know that whoever circles around the protected area is likely to fall into it. Therefore, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 4319Sahih (Al-Albani) For a man may come to him while he is a believer and confident in himself, but he will not cease to affect him until he follows him, because of the doubts that enter his heart. O Allah, protect us from the trial of the Dajjal. So do not say, "I am safe and confident." No, Satan runs through the son of Adam like blood. Therefore, we must be going out on what? On the same age, equal or close in age. And as I told you, except for the one who is with his family, he is with his family, among them are young and old. Seventh: striving not to go far from one's camp, because this may lead to getting lost, and a man may become lost. When a person is lost, he is distressed, as the common people say, "he is in trouble," and he cannot find the place. Therefore, one should avoid going far from the camp unless with a knowledgeable person who can guide, and it is known that if a person is lost, he will tire himself out and expose himself to danger, whether the danger of a lone individual, the danger of bad people, or otherwise. Also, he occupies whom? He occupies others, he occupies his companions, he occupies his family. Therefore, one must avoid going far from the camp because of the danger in that, unless he is with a knowledgeable person who knows the place and the land. There is no power nor strength except by Allah. These are matters that a person should observe because they are important and people need them.

أفي قلوبهم مرض أم ارتابواIn their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease
