When is the accepted supplication of the fasting person, and are there any supplications reported in this regard?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Your Eminence, the fasting person has an accepted supplication when he breaks his fast. So when is the time for this supplication: before dawn, during it, or after it? And are there any supplications reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), or any supplication you recommend in such a time?

The Shaykh : The supplication is made before breaking the fast, at sunset, because in his case the breaking of the fast and humility before Allah (Mighty and Majestic) coincide, and because he is fasting. All of this is among the causes of acceptance. As for after breaking the fast, the soul may have rested and rejoiced, and perhaps heedlessness may occur. However, it is reported, if authentic, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that it is after breaking the fast:
Thirst has gone, the arteries are moist, and the reward is sure, if Allah wills. ذهب الظمأ وابتلت العروق وثبت الأجر إن شاء الله
Sunan Abi Dawud 2357Hasan (Al-Albani)
This does not occur except after breaking the fast. It is also reported from some of the Companions that he used to say:
O Allah, for Thee I have fasted, and with Thy provision I have broken my fast. اللهم لك صمت وعلي رزقك أفطرت
Sunan Abi Dawud 2358Da'if (Al-Albani)
So you should supplicate to Allah with the appropriate supplication that you see you are in need of.
