If a traveler arrives in a town, does he continue breaking his fast, and is the reward doubled for the traveling fasting person?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks: Is it permissible for a traveler who arrives in a town to continue breaking his fast, even if it is difficult for him? And is the reward doubled for the traveling fasting person? It is known that in the present time, everything is made easy.

The Shaykh : If a person arrives in the town he traveled to while fasting, there is no harm in him breaking his fast, because the fasting person has a choice: he may continue fasting if he wishes, or he may break his fast if he wishes. However, if he arrives in his own town while fasting, it is obligatory for him to remain fasting, and it is not permissible for him to break his fast. If he arrives in his own town while having already broken his fast, he is not required to abstain from food and drink, because this abstention is of no benefit since he broke his fast at the beginning of the day, and this does not count as fasting. Therefore, he may eat and drink until the sun sets. However, if he fears being accused of something or the like, let him eat and drink in secret.
