The Shaykh’s explanation of the corrupt call, its errors, and the example of the call in Algeria

The Shaykh : I believe that any group or sect that begins by gathering people around itself, while knowing that they are without knowledge and without correct faith, is mistaken. This is because correct faith cannot form in the heart of a believer except through correct knowledge and proper upbringing. I am amazed at these callers who work to gather and assemble people around Islam, no matter how their understanding of Islam is confined to a narrow circle or involves serious deviations from correct Islam; they do not care about that. It is Islam, and the matter is settled. I asked some of our Algerian brothers who were here, "My brother, you are, what Allah willed, between 25 and 30 million people. You need to have hundreds of scholars, guides, and educators so that they can establish at least a small sect that serves as the nucleus for beginning to lay the foundation for establishing the Muslim state. Where are these scholars?" Therefore, the error begins with deviating from the guidance of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in his initial call, which was the call to Islam and to believe in it truly. These millions who are now gathered around Zayd, Bakr, or 'Amr—who is teaching them? Who is raising them? Who is correcting their beliefs, rectifying their morals, and improving their dealings, and so on? They have left all these matters to time. Consequently, the outcomes will be contrary to what they aim for, which is establishing Islamic rule or the Islamic state. And glory to Allah, many Islamic groups have fallen into problems that the Muslim society is still living and experiencing, and they have regressed for many years due to their haste to act according to their erroneous method of establishing the Muslim state.
