Explaining the virtue of lending money
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is known from some authentic hadiths that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the virtue of a good loan In this lies a very great reward. Accordingly, whoever lends a Muslim one thousand dinars is in the position of one who gave five hundred dinars in charity. If the owner of the money keeps it buried with him and has no reward for it except when he pays the zakah of his wealth, then the one who gave a good loan to another is more deserving of paying his zakah, because he is rewarded twice: the first time for the loan, and the second time for paying the zakah. This is what I have regarding this issue.
That lending two dirhams is like giving one of them in charity
أن قرض درهمين كما لو تصدق بدرهم منهما
