The Ruling on Children's Toys Imported from the Disbelievers

Educational ones. I do not recommend at all accustoming young children to these amusements in their various forms and types; because this affects the child's soul in an intangible way. Therefore, it was part of the wisdom of the legislation that when the child is born from his mother's womb, the adhan is called in his ear. The scholars say: the wisdom is that the first thing that startles his hearing, while he does not understand, is that this heard sound affects the heart of this child: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar! And the testimony that Allah is One, and that the Prophet is the Messenger. So the child must not be without this reality for us: that he is like dough, like a soft candle, affected by the slightest thing surrounding him. So all these toys, and the pacifiers, and these new things that the disbelievers invent to extract money from us, these are all things that truly do not help the child in Islamic upbringing!
