The Shaykh : In this hadith, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prays for good for the one who truly believes in Allah and His Messenger, and he prays for evil for the disbeliever who did not believe in Allah or His Messenger. As for that good for which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for the one who believed in Allah and testified to his Prophet’s message, it is his saying: In this hadith, there is a reference to some of the hadiths that came before us in the previous lesson. In it, it is stated that whoever loves meeting Allah, Allah loves meeting him, and whoever hates meeting Allah, Allah hates meeting him. And you have understood from the completion of the hadiths that the intended meaning of this meeting is when death approaches a person, that is, when the inevitable death comes to him. There, as we mentioned to you, the reality that the believer will meet appears before him in the form of eternal bliss. And conversely, the reality that the disbeliever will also meet appears in the form of the Hellfire. This first meeting is the one for which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for the one who believed in Allah and testified that he (peace be upon him) is the Messenger of Allah.
