What happened between the Shaykh and "Ali Khushan" in this matter.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The last thing that happened, I don't think more than about a month ago, perhaps one of our Palestinian brothers, "Ali al-Khushan," can tell you.

The questioner : Yes, our brother and friend.

The Shaykh : Do you know him personally?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : Fine, this man is one of the Salafi brothers who joined the Muslim Brotherhood.

The questioner : I know that.

The Shaykh : Fine, he went to "Qatar," and I think he is in Qatar.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh : I imagine, and Allah knows best, because I am judging by my own experience here, that when I came here, the Muslim Brotherhood launched a strange movement against the Salafi da'wah. Our brother went there as a member of the Muslim Brotherhood. I imagine the Muslim Brotherhood surrounded him and started moving your Shaykh, Al-Albani, saying he does this and says that, and that he opposes the group and disparages them. And the time now is not a time for disagreement, and we leave these matters of difference aside from this talk. The man responded to the group's enthusiasm and wrote me a long letter. In truth, I was upset with him; because if he were an ordinary man who did not know us, and he is living with us and is one of our senior brothers in Damascus, how could he know that we are always the ones who advance to request a meeting and a gathering, and they refuse? So I was surprised at how he became so enthusiastic, and he kept saying that we should forget the past, and that the situation in Syria now is such and such, and so on.
In any case, at the end of the letter he wrote that he would come to Amman on his way to perform 'Umrah. He actually came. After the greetings, conversation, and hospitality, and so on, I said to him: "O Shaykh Ali, what is this? Are you being harsh with us? Do you not know our positions with all the groups, not just the Muslim Brotherhood, and they refuse? What is this? Well, the situation, fine; the situation, go ahead. Did you not come now? Go ahead, we are ready for a meeting with the group." He said: "Fine." He went for a day, two days, three days. Every time he called a person, they would redirect him to another person, claiming that he could do something or have an influence. Finally, he met with a person who said: "Fine; I will bring you the answer." The answer came back as a refusal. So what do we do? We are striving for a meeting and they refuse. This is one of two things: either in their belief we are drowning in misguidance and they have given up on guiding us, as they have given up on meeting with communists like them? Or I do not know what to say other than this, or the opposite of this? They refused us this!!
