Is it permissible to perform Hajj with the money of charity or zakah, given that that woman was in a state of hardship and need for money at that time, and praise be to Allah who relieved her?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner says: Is it permissible to perform Hajj with the money of charity or zakah, given that that woman was in a state of hardship and need for money at that time, and praise be to Allah who relieved her? So, should she perform Hajj with it or not? May Allah reward you with good?

The Shaykh : It is permissible to perform Hajj with the money of zakah and with the money of charity. It is also permissible for the recipient of zakah to give it to someone who is not eligible to receive zakah, on the condition that when he received the zakah, he was among those eligible for it, meaning he was a rightful recipient. What was mentioned in the question is of this nature; that is, the woman received these funds from zakah and charity, and she was eligible for them. Then, Allah the Exalted made her wealthy, and she wanted to perform Hajj with the zakah and charity funds she had. We say there is nothing wrong with this, because if a poor person receives charity and he is among those eligible for it, or receives zakah and he is among those eligible for it, he owns it with full ownership and may dispose of it as he wishes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
