The Ruling on the Zakah of Wealth

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A letter reached the program from Iraq as well, sent by a listener from there, identified as (S. A. A), who says: "I have a sum of seven thousand dinars for which I have not yet paid the zakah, as I am single, and my sister is single, and I do not own a house for residence or any furniture, since I currently live in a mud house that my brothers, my mother, and I inherited from our father. Do I have to pay the zakah or not? I ask for your guidance, may you be rewarded, may Allah reward you with good."

Answer:
Yes, the zakah is obligatory on you; because a believer purifies the wealth he has when a lunar year has passed over it, even if he has set it aside to buy a house, or to get married, or to pay off a debt, or for other matters that concern him. When a lunar year passes over it, he purifies it. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
