I heard that a woman has only one Hajj and one 'Umrah. Is this correct? And if she wishes to repeat the 'Umrah, is she permitted to do so?

The questioner : The questioner says: I heard that a woman has only one Hajj and one 'Umrah. Is this correct? And if she wishes to repeat the 'Umrah, is she permitted to do so? May Allah reward you both.

The Shaykh : Yes, a woman is like a man in Hajj and 'Umrah. For this reason, the Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Is there jihad for women?" He said:
Yes: Upon them is a Jihad in which there is no fighting: Al-Hajj and Al-‘Umrah. نعم عليهن جهاد لا قتال فيه: الحج والعمرة
Sunan Ibn Majah 2901Sahih (Darussalam)
However, a woman should not burden her husband or her guardian by repeating the 'Umrah and Hajj, because there are many avenues of good that may be better than the 'Umrah and Hajj. Thus, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and removing a harm from the Muslims is better than Hajj and 'Umrah. I mean this regarding Hajj and 'Umrah when they are voluntary. As for the obligatory one, it is necessary.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
