The Shaykh’s explanation of the word: (Islam).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Before we move on to a third hadith, which is roughly the same in meaning as the previous two, I must pause briefly on the word Islam in the first hadith
Blessed is the one who was guided to Islam طوبى لمن هُدي للإسلام
As-Sunan al-Kubra lil-Nasa'i 67:30
and in the second hadith
The one who submitted من أسلم
. To submit means to be guided to Islam. In this hadith, there is a clear indication that if a person combines these two blessings—the spiritual, intangible blessing of being guided to Islam, and the other, material blessing by which he lives for Islam—then happy is that person who was guided to Islam and was provided with a sufficient livelihood, or was content with what Allah (Mighty and Majestic) provided for him.
