The Shaykh’s explanation of how the hadith corresponds to the chapter heading.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The chapter that follows, "The Chapter on Appointing the Elders as Leaders", is narrated under it with his good chain of transmission from Hakim ibn Qays ibn 'Asim, who reported that his father, upon his death, left a will for his sons, saying: "Fear Allah and appoint your eldest as your leader, for when a people appoint their eldest as leader, they succeed their father, but when they appoint their youngest, it disgraces them in the eyes of their peers. Hold fast to wealth and its acquisition, for it is a source of dignity for the noble one, and it allows one to be independent of the base one. Beware of asking people for things, for it is among the last of a man’s earnings. And when I die, do not wail over me, for no one wailed over the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). And when I die, bury me in a place where Bakr ibn Wail will not know of my burial, for I used to outwit them in the pre-Islamic age of ignorance." This is a will from one of the Companions to his children, containing many instructions that children typically need, to hold fast to them, and to be constantly reminded of them and act upon them?
