Eid Abbasi : The Eighteenth Benefit:
The hadith explains a number of the virtues of Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her). She had a direct role in the Islam of Abu Talhah. It also shows her good conduct toward him and her eagerness for his joy and happiness, even at the expense of her own comfort. Furthermore, it shows her participation with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Companions in travel and jihad, under the most severe circumstances. She was in her final days of pregnancy when she traveled with the conquering army. Undoubtedly, she was enduring pain in that state for the sake of Allah. Labor pains came upon her on the way, so she and her husband turned to Allah, and Allah responded to them and relieved them. She did not give birth until they reached al-Madinah.
