Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for me to pray with a limited number of surahs, given that I only memorize a small portion of the Qur'an?

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible for a person to pray with a limited number of surahs, based on the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
so recite what is easy [for you] of the Qur'an فَاقْرَءُوا مَا تَيَسَّرَ مِنَ الْقُرْءانِ
[Al-Muzzammil 73:20]
and the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to the man:
When you get up to pray, perform ablution perfectly, then face the Qiblah and say: 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the Most Great). Then recite a convenient portion of the Qur'an إذا قمت إلى الصلاة فأسبغ الوضوء ثم استقبل القبلة فكبّر، ثم اقرأ ما تيسّر معك من القرءان
Bulugh al-Maram 2:139
. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you and bless you. A questioner says in his question: Your Eminence, the Shaykh, may Allah preserve you.
