The questioner : A question, O Shaykh, about the meaning of the hadith: From 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, marfu'
The millstone of Islam turns for thirty-five, or thirty-six, or thirty-seven. If they perish, it is the path of those who perished; and if their religion is established, it will be established for them for seventy years. I asked: From those who remain or from those who have passed? He said: From those who have passed.
Narrated by Abu Dawud.

The Shaykh : From those who remain or from those who have passed?

The questioner : Yes.
Al-Halabi : Authentic

The Shaykh : But I am confused by the wording now; how is it "from those who have passed"?

The Shaykh : They say about the Salafis, whether truthfully or falsely, so what is your excuse for a statement when it is said: They are a group of anarchists?
The students laugh

The questioner : They say in their methodology

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : In their methodology

The Shaykh : In their methodology, ah, and of the anarchy, three or four have been mentioned, and if they believed in their Shaykh with the faith of the Sufis in their Shaykh, we used to say, by Allah, he has four, five, or six [followers] according to the numberThe questioner : of them. Do you see? But they did not have this faith, praise be to Allah.

The questioner : In any case, O Shaykh, I am innocent, because these simple questions, since we came...

The Shaykh : I did not organize them... O brothers, strive to be more orderly than others, because first, your call to the truth is sufficient to make it manifest, for it is the truth; so what if what is not truth is added to it? So maintain order and avoid anarchy. If one person wants to ask and sees that others are silent, let him raise his hand and ask. But if two or three rush in with one question, that is a mistake. And if he feels, what Allah willed, enthusiasm for asking and seeking knowledge, then a gesture is sufficient for him. May Allah reward you.
