What is the ruling on one who delays the Fajr prayer out of laziness?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, regarding the Fajr prayer, many people, and I am one of them, pray Fajr after six, and sometimes seven.

The Shaykh : How do you pray Fajr?

The questioner : Fajr after six o'clock, and sometimes seven, out of laziness.

The Shaykh : Laziness
Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-'ajzi, wal-kasali اللهم إني أعوذ بك من العجز والكسل
Sunan an-Nasa'i 5448Sahih (Darussalam)
... Why don't you wake up for the Fajr prayer?

The questioner : By Allah, I have small children at home who sit with me at night, and honestly, I don't have the right to say anything, small children sit with me for two or three hours, and this is the reason I stay up late.

The Shaykh : Is there no other reason?

The questioner: No.

The Shaykh : When do you sleep after the 'Isha' prayer?

The questioner: No.
Abu Layla : Is it permissible to stay up watching television?

The Shaykh : Be patient, we have opened the way for him.

The questioner : Ten o'clock and ten-thirty.

The Shaykh : There is no doubt that religion is sincere advice. Do I understand from your words that you pray the other prayers with the Muslim congregation in the mosque?

The questioner : Not all of them.

The Shaykh : So what have we gained? Do we leave all the prayers and hold onto the 'Isha' prayer? Do you pray in the mosque with the Muslim congregation?

The questioner : Not always.

The Shaykh : Not always, why? Do the children keep you busy?

The questioner : No, sir, may you pray upon the Prophet, I go from the shop, sometimes I am in a state of wudu', I turn and pray in the mosque most days. For Maghrib, I go to the house, break my wudu', and eat.

The Shaykh : And the congregation is advised to be brief. I am not interested in the details; I want to know why you do not pray 'Isha' in the mosque?

The questioner : One is busy, it is a shortcoming.

The Shaykh : Ah, were you created for work or for worship?

The questioner :
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. وما خلقت الجن والإنس إلا ليعبدون
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:56]
.

The Shaykh : Ah, do you know and you distort, why? Therefore, I advise you, and every Muslim, that you must strive to perform all five prayers. First, every prayer in its time. Second, in the mosque with the Muslim congregation.

The questioner : He is brief, Abu Fadi, ...

The Shaykh : I have not finished my words, or rather my advice has not ended. We said that every Muslim must maintain the performance of the five prayers, every prayer in its prescribed time, then every prayer in the mosque with the Muslim congregation. It is not permissible for him in any way to excuse himself from performing the prayer in the mosque by saying he is busy, because work at that hour is not obligatory upon you. Allah the Mighty and Majestic gave you twelve hours or ten hours in the day and told you to work in them, the lawful work by which you earn your daily sustenance. But allocate for Me from these hours one hour, meaning sixty minutes, for five prayers. So there is no excuse for any person to say, "I was busy and did not pray in the mosque with the congregation." This is one thing. And the second is that it is not permissible to stay up late after the 'Isha' prayer. You must pray 'Isha' in the mosque and go to your house. If it is your custom to eat dinner, eat and put your head down and sleep. If you do this, I guarantee you that you will not miss the Fajr prayer and pray at six or seven after the sun has risen. But the calamity of people today is that the world has tempted them with its adornments, especially in the present age, especially this great calamity that has entered the homes of Muslims, which is the television.
