A reading by Ali Hasan al-Halabi to the Shaykh of a passage from the book *Al-Aqeedah al-Salafiyyah*.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Al-Halabi : When we mention the phrase "When your wind blows, seize it," this is our Shaykh's book by al-Lalika'i... He mentions a subtle section of two or three pages titled "The Belief of Abu Zur'ah 'Abdullah ibn 'Abd al-Karim and Abu Hatim Muhammad ibn Idris ibn al-Mundhiri, the two from Rayy." I think they were maternal cousins. Yes, that is correct. It says: "... And a group of the Salaf from whom it was transmitted, may Allah have mercy on them. The author says: Muhammad ibn al-Muzaffar al-Muqri' informed us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Habash al-Muqri' narrated to us, saying: Al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Habash al-Muqri' narrated to us, saying: Abu Muhammad 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Abu Hatim said: I asked my father and Abu Zur'ah about the creeds of the people of the Sunnah in the fundamentals of religion, and what they found the scholars upon in all the regions, and what they believed of that. They said: We found the scholars in all the regions, in the Hijaz, Iraq, Sham, and Yemen, and their creed was that faith is speech and action, that it increases and decreases, and that the Qur'an is the speech of Allah, not created in all its aspects." What is meant by "in all its aspects"?

The Shaykh : The phrase that comes to mind is new to us in its meanings and its words...
Al-Halabi : In its meanings and its words, yes. "... And it may be said 'the eternal speech.' And speech, as the Shaykh of Islam expresses it, is the occurrence of events, which is that Allah used to speak as He willed, whenever He willed..."

The Shaykh : He speaks whenever He wills.
Al-Halabi : Is this perhaps?

The Shaykh: Yes.
Al-Halabi : "And divine decree, its good and its evil, is from Allah (Mighty and Majestic). And the best of this Ummah after its Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, then 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, then 'Uthman ibn 'Affan, then 'Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon them)?"

The Shaykh : Good, as long as he included them all in the peace, there is no problem.
Al-Halabi : Excellent. "... And they are the rightly guided caliphs, and that the ten whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) named and testified for them to Paradise, as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) testified, and He is the truth-teller (peace and blessings be upon him), and sending blessings upon all the Companions of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and refraining from what occurred between them; and that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) is above His Throne, distinct from His creation, as He described Himself in His Book and on the tongue of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), without asking how, encompassing all things with knowledge
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. ليس كمثله شيء وهو السميع البصير
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
And that He (Blessed and Exalted is He) is seen in the Hereafter; the people of Paradise see Him with their eyes and hear His speech as He wills and as He wills. And Paradise is true, and the Fire is true, and they are created and will never be extinguished. And Paradise is the reward for His awliya (close friends of Allah), and the Fire is the punishment for the people of His disobedience, except whom Allah (Mighty and Majestic) grants mercy. And the Sirat is true, and the Scale is true, having two pans." Yes.
