Continuation of the discussion on the issue of combining two obligatory acts with a single intention, such as combining the tawaf of departure and the farewell tawaf

The Shaykh : Muslims often encounter such matters, whether they are men or women. For example, a woman has major ritual impurity, then menstruation begins and she remains menstruating for her usual number of days. Then she becomes pure. Is it obligatory for her to take one bath, or is it obligatory for her to take two baths, one for major ritual impurity and the other for menstruation? If we know the rule that one obligatory act does not suffice for another obligatory act, then she must take two baths: one for major ritual impurity and the other for menstruation. In fact, some men may encounter something similar, and I do not say all men. Whoever holds that the Friday bath is obligatory, as came in the authentic report:
Taking a bath (before coming to Friday prayers) is obligatory on every adult. غسل الجمعة واجب على كل محتلم
Riyad as-Salihin 1152
I say: As for the one who holds that the Friday bath is obligatory, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and this is the position I personally adopt, he must take two baths: the first for major ritual impurity and the second for Friday. As for the one who holds that the Friday bath is not obligatory, and this is the opinion of the majority of scholars, he can limit himself to the first bath, which is the bath for major ritual impurity, and intend in his heart with it the Friday bath. But this one who holds that the Friday bath is a recommended practice and not obligatory has three states. The most complete is to take two baths, as we said for the one who holds that the Friday bath is obligatory, because in that case, the reward of the bath for major ritual impurity and the reward of the Friday bath are recorded for him. We all know, if Allah wills, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, on behalf of Allah the Exalted:
If My servant intends a good deed but does not do it, record it for him as one good deed; and if he does it, record it for him as ten good deeds; up to a hundred good deeds; up to seven hundred; up to many times over, and Allah multiplies for whom He wills ...
to the end of the hadith. The point here is: if My servant intends a good deed but does not do it, one good deed is recorded for him; and if he does it, ten good deeds are recorded for him and more. Now, as for the one who holds that the Friday bath is a recommended practice and who is in a state of major ritual impurity, he has three states or three ranks. The first rank is to take two baths. As for the first bath, it is necessary: the bath for major ritual impurity so that the prayer is valid. As for the second bath, it is a recommended practice. But if he takes a specific bath for Friday, at least ten good deeds are recorded for him. This is the first state, which is the highest. Then comes the next one: that he takes one bath, which is the bath for major ritual impurity, and intends in his heart also the Friday bath. This records for him one good deed for this intention. If we assume that his bath for major ritual impurity records for him at least ten good deeds, and you have heard that a good deed may be multiplied to seven hundred or many times over, and Allah multiplies for whom He wills, but let us assume that the least recorded for the Muslim whose good deed and worship is accepted is ten good deeds. So this one who took the bath for major ritual impurity has ten good deeds recorded for him at least. If he also intended the Friday bath in this bath, another good deed is recorded for him, so the total is eleven good deeds. This is the second rank. The third and final rank is that he takes the bath for major ritual impurity, because he must do so, and no one is ignorant of its obligation except whom Allah wills, as we have been told about some of them, but the Friday bath does not cross his mind at all. This records for him ten good deeds. So the first rank is: a bath for major ritual impurity with at least ten, and a bath for Friday with at least ten, so the total is twenty. The second rank is: a bath for major ritual impurity plus the intention of the Friday bath, so eleven good deeds are recorded for him. And the third and final rank is: a bath for major ritual impurity, and only ten good deeds are recorded for him. This is how many issues can be addressed, and the rule in that is that one obligatory act does not suffice for another obligatory act. As for an obligatory act that suffices for a recommended practice, yes. But if he wants the reward, he intends the intention of the recommended practice. If the previous question was about whether the tawaf of departure suffices for the farewell tawaf? The answer is no, because one obligatory act does not suffice for another obligatory act.
