The Shaykh : ... And none is more important among those hadiths than the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, which the Imam Muslim narrated in his Sahih from him (may Allah be pleased with him). He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The first of Allah's creation to be cast into the Fire on the Day of Resurrection are three: a scholar, a mujahid, and a wealthy person. He (peace be upon him) said: The scholar will be brought on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to him: What did you do with what you knew? He will say: O my Lord, I spread it in Your path. It will be said to him: You lied. You only learned so that people would say, "So-and-so is a scholar." And it was said: Take him to the Fire. "I seek refuge in Allah." The mujahid will be brought and it will be said to him: What did you do with the strength that Allah bestowed upon you? He will say: O my Lord, I fought in Your path. It will be said to him: You lied. You only fought so that people would say, "So-and-so is a mujahid." ... Take him to the Fire. The wealthy person will be brought and it will be said to him: What did you do with the wealth that Allah bestowed upon you? He will say: O my Lord, I spent it in Your path. It will be said to him: You lied. You only did it so that people would say, "So-and-so is generous." ...
And it is said to each of these three, to each one of them:
And it has been said وقد قيل
It is said to the scholar: You spread knowledge so that people would say, "So-and-so is a scholar," and you have already received your reward. So the people came to say, "So-and-so is a scholar; there is no one like him among the scholars,"
It was said قد قيل
meaning you have received your immediate reward, so take your deferred reward, which is the Fire. Would that he had escaped with his capital, neither gaining nor losing, but the outcome of his affair was the Fire. That is because he took knowledge as a means to this world, so he did not fear Allah in it, nor did he intend the Face of Allah with it, so he was thrown into the Fire. Likewise, it is said to the wealthy person and the mujahid. It was said to the mujahid: You intended that it be said, "So-and-so is a hero,"
And it has been said وقد قيل
Likewise, the wealthy person intended that it be said, "So-and-so is generous,"
And it has been said وقد قيل
so they are all taken to the Fire. These three, the Messenger (peace be upon him) says:
with whom the fire will be enflamed on the Day of Judgement هم أول من تسعر بهم النار يوم القيامة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2382Sahih (Darussalam)
Even though it is supposed that these should be among the foremost to enter Paradise, especially the people of knowledge about whom Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees يرفع الله الذين آمنوا منكم والذين آتوتوا العلم درجات
[Al-Mujadila 58:11]
So when they neglected this second condition, which is sincerity in worship to Allah in jihad, in knowledge, and in zakah, their worship turned against them into a burden and a punishment. Therefore, one of the conditions of righteous work is that it be, first, in accordance with the Sunnah, and second, pure for the Face of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). When the Muslim community returns to this in its knowledge and in its practice—in its knowledge to the Book and the Sunnah according to the previous detail, and in its practice according to the previous detail, following his Sunnah and being sincere to the Lord of mankind—then on that day Islamic life will resume its course, and on that day the believers will rejoice in the victory of Allah, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and with this I conclude this word:
Good news to this Ummah of glory, religion, and elevation, or elevation through establishment in the earth. And whoever among them does the work of the Hereafter for this world, he will have no share in the Hereafter بشر هذه الأمة بالسناء والدين والرفعة أو الرفعة بالتمكين في الأرض ، ومن عمل منهم عمل الآخرة للدنيا لم يكن له في الآخرة من نصيب
And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

The questioner : May Allah rewardThe Shaykh : you with the best reward for what you mentioned in this beneficial sermon, in which you clarified the great principle that all Muslims should follow if they want to be saved in this world from discord, and in the Hereafter from the punishment of Allah, and to attain Paradise. And there is no doubt that what you mentionedThe Shaykh : is far more important than many of the questions that many of those who wrote them are anticipating. For knowing the principles is far more important than knowing the branches. Nevertheless, it is necessary to mention these questions to the Shaykh and present them to him. However, we apologize to the brothers for the fact that there are too many questions, some of which are related to the same topic that you mentionedThe Shaykh : , and some are related to the rites of Hajj. These two types of questions will be presented before the others due to the necessity of the situation. As for the remaining questions, if there is time for them, there is no harm, and the one who will determine that isThe Shaykh : you yourself.
