A young man owns real estate, and when the lunar year of possession arrived, he did not have the minimum threshold for zakah in wealth

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A person has real estate that yields two or three thousand dinars per year. Naturally, he takes the rent from it monthly and spends it on the house from this real estate. He does not have the amount of the zakah threshold by the end of the lunar year; is it permissible for him to pay the zakah on it every month, for example?

The Shaykh : You know, may Allah bless you, that zakah has two conditions: the minimum threshold and the completion of the lunar year of possession. So here, if the threshold is met, has the lunar year of possession passed?

Another questioner : Both conditions are met.

The questioner : It is possible that the threshold is... two hundred or three hundred dinars in value at the end of the month from this real estate.

The Shaykh : It is not important. Reaching the threshold and the completion of the lunar year of possession; if one of the two conditions is lacking, there is no obligation.

The questioner : The person, I mean, wants to clear his conscience before Allah on the basis that he sets aside a portion of what comes to him.

The Shaykh : My brother, there is obligatory zakah, there is voluntary prayer, and there is voluntary charity. The door of charity is very wide. As for your saying that he clears his conscience, his conscience is not burdened by a legal ruling.

The questioner : Not...

The Shaykh : That is it.
