Answer: It is well known that if a person has money that has reached the nisab and a lunar year has passed over it, then zakah is obligatory on it.
Whether it is obtained from a salary or otherwise,And the amount of zakah: One-quarter of a tenth.Meaning: two and a half percent, and Allah the Exalted knows best.
if a lunar year has passed over it, then zakah is obligatory on it, even if you intend to build a residence or to buy a need from the necessities with it. As long as it is dirhams that have reached the nisab or more, and a lunar year has passed over it, and it is in your possession, then zakah is obligatory on it.
