Does a man recognize his children on the Day of Resurrection if they are among the happy?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This is a questioner, 'Abd al-Mu'min Uthman from Sudan, who asks: Does a man, O honorable Shaykh, recognize his children on the Day of Resurrection if they are among the happy?

The Shaykh : If the children are among the happy and the father is among the happy, then Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) says in His Book:
And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.
[At-Tur 52:21]
This means that if a person has offspring and they are among the people of Paradise, they will follow their fathers, even if their rank is lower than that of their fathers. Therefore, He said:
And We will not diminish وَما أَلَتناهُم
meaning that We did not diminish anything from the fathers' deeds,
of anything of their deeds مِن عَمَلِهِم مِن شَيءٍ
[At-Tur 52:21]
rather, the fathers' reward remained complete, and the offspring were raised to the rank of their fathers. This is provided that the sons do not step out of the category of offspring by being independent with their wives and families, in which case these individuals have their own special merit and are not attached to their fathers. Because if we said that everyone is attached to their father, even if he has wives and is independent on his own, then all the people of Paradise would be in one single rank, because everyone is the offspring of someone above them. But the intended meaning of "offspring" is those who were with him and did not become independent with themselves, their wives, and their children. These are the ones who are raised to the rank of their fathers, and nothing is diminished from the fathers' deeds. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you.
