The questioner : This questioner is Ghada al-Ghamidi. We reviewed two of her questions in a previous episode, and this question remains for her. She says she recalls that she is a student in high school and has been impressed by a teacher who possesses a great deal of commitment and good character, but the problem is that some friends mistreat this teacher in word and deed because this teacher advises them, guides them, and prevents them from wearing what is contrary to the Sunnah in the school, so they mistreat her and mock her. What should I do? I have already advised the students, but to no avail. I ask you to direct a word, O honorable Shaykh Muhammad, to the students and to the teacher?
The Shaykh : As for the students, my advice to them is that they should fear Allah the Exalted, that they should respect the rights of the Muslim, and that they should not mock those who adhere to the religion of Allah and enjoin adherence to it. Indeed, the one who adheres to the religion of Allah and enjoins adherence to it is worthy of being honored and respected because he has performed obedience to Allah.
As for the teacher, she must be patient and seek reward from Allah, and she should know that everyone who holds fast to the religion of Allah will find enemies. Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said:[Al-Furqan 25:31]. Those who follow the prophets must have an enemy from among the criminals. So she should be patient and seek reward, and if the matter reaches a limit that cannot be endured, she has the right to refer the matter to the school administration. The school administration must discipline such students because of their aggression.
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh, and bless you.

And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.
