Questioned about the two attributes: (Makr and Khida') among the attributes of Allah, are they from the category of contrast?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Please go ahead.

The questioner : But in the matter of creed, sometimes some of the brothers ask about the chapter of attributes, saying for example regarding Makr and Khida'
[think to] deceive Allah, but He is deceiving them يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَهُوَ خَادِعُهُمْ
[An-Nisa 4:142]
and similar attributes, what does it mean? What is your opinion about such a thing? Is it from the category of contrast as Ibn al-Qayyim says in al-Sawa'iq, or what is your opinion?

The Shaykh : And it is so, but we may not be compelled to say it is from the category of contrast, considering that an attribute among the attributes of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), or every attribute of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), differs completely from the attributes of the created beings. So the Makr of man is not the Makr of the Lord of all people
And the disbelievers planned, but Allah planned. And Allah is the best of planners. وَمَكَرُواْ وَمَكَرَ اللّهُ وَاللّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ
[Ali 'Imran 3:54]
. The mere fact that He described Himself as the best of the schemers is enough. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) took the attribute that befits His greatness and majesty, not the attribute that, if applied to humans, would be a description of blame for them and not a description of praise. So when it is said to be from the category of similarity and contrast, or when it is not said with this word, the important thing is that any attribute differs completely from the attributes of the created beings. So no active participle is derived from it, and it is not said, for example, "Our Lord is a schemer" or "a deceiver" or "one who deceives" or the like. Rather, the attribute is pronounced as it came in the Book or in the Sunnah. And perhaps this amount is sufficient, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

Another questioner : Subhan Allah ... .

The Shaykh : Get permission from your neighbor, that is all.

Another questioner : If this is the attribute
Abu Layla : Wait... .
Al-Halabi : ... O Abu Anas
Abu Layla : That is all, our Shaykh... .
Abu Malik: What is it, then the talk will be long.
Abu Layla : ... .
Abu Malik: A one-minute comment.

Another questioner : Yes.
Abu Malik: One minute.
