Deception in committing what is forbidden, such as the Jews’ hunting (on the Sabbath) and also the Jews’ selling the fats that were forbidden to them.

The Shaykh : Now I return to the Islamic bank. The Islamic bank invests this fatwa, which is based on disagreement with this authentic Sunnah, but with some twisting and turning, with some deception. This is what the people of knowledge do not say, those who know that deceiving in order to commit what Allah the Exalted has forbidden is among the most severe of prohibitions, because it is of the tricks of the Jews who were cursed in the Book and in the Sunnah. As for their being cursed in the Book, it is well known because of their deception in hunting fish on the Sabbath, when work was forbidden to them on the Sabbath. So they did not work on the Sabbath, but because of their adherence to this ruling for a period of time, glory be to Allah, the fish, which is an animal, was given of understanding and of ... what helps it in its life, so it would come to them on the holiday, the Sabbath, in tons, because they, the fish, do not feel any annoyance from the nets, as is observed, especially in your sea. So the fish would come to them in streams, in tons, in millions. The saliva of the Jews flowed at this profitable sight if it were caught, but Allah forbade them work on the Sabbath. So they deceived. What did they do? They blocked the bays for the fish. They would come, as we said, in streams, in very large groups, to gather the crumbs of food and the like. So they blocked the bays on the Sabbath, and on the Sunday, what they had not caught on the Sabbath, they obtained on the Sunday. So they deceived in the hunting of fish that was forbidden to them on the Sabbath. In reality, they did not catch it, but they engaged in the means of hunting on the Sabbath, so they were cursed. This is well known in the Noble Qur'an, but many people do not know the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in cursing the Jews for another sin and another trick, where he said (peace and blessings be upon him) The hadith ends, and it is in the Sahih. What is the meaning of the hadith? Sahih Muslim 1582a This prohibition is stated in the Noble Qur'an, and in the Qur'an is the explanation of the reason for the prohibition. He the Exalted said In another verse, it is clarified that Allah forbade them the fats and the intestines. So the Jews endured for a period of time, just as they endured for a period of time in refraining from hunting fish. Then they deceived, as I mentioned earlier. Likewise, they endured for a period of time the prohibition of the Lord of the Worlds upon them of eating the fat from lawful slaughtered animals. Why was it forbidden to them? Because of their oppression, and because of their killing of the prophets without right, as mentioned in more than one verse. But their endurance did not last; rather, their patience ran out, so they deceived in making lawful the fat that was forbidden to them by placing it in the pots and lighting fires beneath them. So it melted and took a level shape, unlike the natural fat. And Satan inspired to them that this had gone out from being that fat, so they sold it and ate its price. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said Sahih Muslim 1582a meaning they melted it Sunan Abi Dawud 3488Sahih (Al-Albani) This last phrase is related to the saying of the Exalted, and I will mention this verse later, if Allah wills [Al-Ma'idah 5:2] So you, O Jews, Allah forbade you the fats. You deceived, so you melted the fat and sold it. For what purpose did you sell it? For the purpose that people would take it. If you helped them by melting the fat and selling it, you helped one another in eating what Allah has forbidden. Therefore, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said So it is not permissible for you to sell a thing whose food and drink and clothing and the like are forbidden to you. If you know the verse related to the hunting of the Jews, or the trapping of the Jews of the fish on the Sabbath, and their melting of the fat to deceive in eating it, you will know at that time that the Muslim is not permitted to fall into what some nations before us fell into, who used to deceive in what Allah the Exalted has forbidden. For that reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) alerted his Ummah and warned them by way of information that this Ummah will follow the path of those before it. So he said (peace and blessings be upon him) Sahih al-Bukhari 3456 This is the narration of al-Bukhari, and in another hadith of al-Tirmidhi is something more dangerous and more bitter than this, and that is his saying (peace and blessings be upon him) So it is not permissible for the Muslim to make lawful what Allah has forbidden. Yes, I say, with regret, I found one who made lawful by ijtihad, which we see as an error because it contradicts the Sunnah, the sale of installments. But what they do not make lawful is deception, that is, to bring in an intermediary, as I depicted for you earlier. A person goes to the merchant and says to him, "Lend me five hundred dinars and I will give you six hundred." He says, "No, this is forbidden, it is not permissible. But go, you buy the refrigerator for six hundred dinars, and I will pay for you, and you come and pay me six hundred dinars." "All roads lead to the mill." The result is the same. This is deception. They prevented them from hunting fish on the Sabbath; they did not catch it on the Sabbath, but they confined the fish in the bays, so they caught it on the Sunday. Likewise, this trick is what eats the open riba, but with twisting and doubling back on the forbidden, he eats it. This is the doing of the Jews. May Allah make your life easy.
May Allah curse the Jews. The fats were forbidden to them, so they melted them and then sold them and ate their price. And indeed, when Allah the Exalted forbids the eating of a thing, He forbids its price.
Let there be the curse of Allah upon the Jews that fat was declared forbidden for them
And because of the wrongdoing of those who were Jews, We have forbidden to them (certain) good things (which were) made lawful to them.
Let there be the curse of Allah upon the Jews that fat was declared forbidden for them, but they melted it
لعن الله اليهود حرمت عليهم الشحوم فجملوهاthey sold them and they enjoyed the price they received for them. When Allah declared eating of thing forbidden for the people, He declares it price also forbidden for them.
ثم باعوها و أكلوا أثمانها و إن الله إذا حرم أكل شيء حرم ثمنهbut do not cooperate in sin and aggression
And indeed, when Allah the Exalted forbids the eating of a thing, He forbids its price.
You will follow the wrong ways, of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure, you too will go there.
Even if there were among them someone who would have intercourse with his mother on the roadside, there would be among you someone who would do that.
