What is the condemned and the praiseworthy arrogance?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Likewise, arrogance is of two types. Arrogance that benefits its owner in one context is loved, and arrogance that harms its owner in another context is hated. The arrogance that is loved by Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, is when a man displays arrogance in two places. The first place is in battle, in jihad in the path of Allah. He displays arrogance in spirit and body, meaning he shows arrogance before the enemies, because this display gives him strength and weakens his enemy. This is the loved arrogance, and this is the first place mentioned in the hadith. The other place is when a Muslim performs an act of obedience to Allah, Mighty and Majestic, especially when he gives charity and feels a bit of arrogance in his spirit, because he has overcome what Allah, Mighty and Majestic, described in His saying:
And present in [human] souls is stinginess وأحضرت الأنفس الشح
[An-Nisa 4:128]
He was able to overcome this soul that commands evil by giving the charity, so he is affected here by a bit of arrogance. This is the second type of arrogance that is loved by Allah, Mighty and Majestic. As for the other type, it is as he said: the arrogance of a man in transgression, meaning in aggression, and boasting in lineage, and the like of that which does not benefit but rather harms. This is the answer, if Allah wills.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
