So my advice to these Muslims who were forced or deceived, because we cannot issue a general ruling on every individual among them, is that I say my advice to these young men who were forced to travel—and I do not say to emigrate, because the opposite is the perfection, and the perfection is that the disbelievers emigrate from the lands of disbelief to the lands of Islam, not the opposite as is the reality today, that Muslims emigrate from the lands of Islam to the lands of disbelief of the Americans, and they also call it by a name other than its name, the place of exile, is that not so? It is obligatory for them to leave those lands at the earliest possible time, whether they were forced or deceived, that they return to the lands of Islam, even if they live in hardship, because Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has taken charge of the provision of every person.[Adh-Dhariyat 51:22] And the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us in some authentic hadiths that he said: I say this knowing that there are contradictions among the youth there. Some of them leave here without knowing anything of the acts of obedience and worship, then they return, if Allah wills, committed to the religion. And some return, if they return, as they were before, not caring about life except to live as the livestock live, and the Syrian saying applies to them: "Titi titi, just as you went, you came." So my advice is that they fear Allah (Mighty and Majestic), and that they emigrate from the lands of disbelief to the lands of Islam at the first opportunity that presents itself to them.
