The Shaykh : One example so that you may understand the prayer in the mosque. It came in the authentic hadith: ; now, the minds of merchants, in particular, are completely devoid of such divine subordination of the universe to serve the one who is mindful of his Lord, Blessed and Exalted is He.
That a man among those before us was walking in a desolate part of the land when he heard a voice from the sky saying to the clouds, "Water the land of so-and-so" — of course, this is an extraordinary event, hearing a voice from the sky, a voice like that of humans — "Water, O cloud, the land of so-and-so, son of so-and-so." So the man walked with the cloud until he found the cloud emptying its load of rain over a garden. He looked at it and found a man working in it. He greeted him, and he returned the greeting, but he found him to be a stranger, so he asked him about his condition. He mentioned to him that he had "heard a voice from the cloud saying, 'Water the land of so-and-so,' so I walked with the cloud until I reached you, and I realized that you are the one intended. So what is the reason for that?" Here is the point: the man said — and this is the affair of the righteous — he said, "By Allah, I do not know, but I have this land, so I plant it, tend to it, and harvest it, and I make my harvest into three equal parts: one third I return to the land, one third I use for myself and my family, and one third I give in charity to the poor and the needy." He said, "This is what you have earned this divine care for."
أن رجلا فيمن كان قبلنا بينما هو يمشي في فلاة من الأرض إذ سمع صوتا من السماء يقول للسحاب اسق أرض فلان - طبعا هذا أمر خارق للعادة يسمع صوت من السماء صوت كصوت البشر- اسق يا سحاب أرض فلان بن فلان فمشى الرجل مع السحاب حتى وجد السحاب يفرغ مشحونه من المطر على حديقة فطل عليها وجد فيها رجلا يعمل فيها ، سلم عليه ، رد عليه السلام لكن وجده رجلا غريبا فسأله عن حاله ، فذكر له أنه " سمع صوتا من السحاب يقول اسق أرض فلان ، فمشيت مع السحاب حتى وصلت إليك ، فعرفت أنت المقصود ، فبم ذاك ؟ " هنا الشاهد قال الرجل - وهذا شأن الصالحين- قال : "والله أنا لا أدري لكن عندي هذه الأرض فأزرعها وأخدمها وأحصدها فأجعل حصيدها ثلاثة أثلاث ، ثلث أعيده إلى الأرض ، وثلث أتمون به لنفسي وأهلي ، وثلث أتصدق به على الفقراء والمساكين " ؛ قال: " هذا هو الذي استحققت به هذه العناية الإلهية "
