The Shaykh spoke about the matters that the Tawhid Party does not believe in (the hadith of the split).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : For example, these hadiths: we always mention the hadith of the seventy-three sects. There is no doubt that this hadith is among the hadiths, and I do not speak of the unseen, but I suspect, with a strong probability, that this man and his like do not believe in these hadiths.

The questioner : Of course, The Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Do you see how it is? This is the insight of the believer. This person cannot believe in a report spoken by the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
and my nation will split into seventy-three sects. وستفترق أمتي على ثلاث وسبعين فرقة
Sunan Ibn Majah 3991Hasan (Darussalam)
Why does he not believe? It is not because it contains a report about splitting, for that cannot be denied. But he does not believe because he has established a methodology that he forces upon people with shackles, placing it on the straight path against their will, unless they deviate with their entire hearts. In that case, to Hell, and wretched is the guide, may Allah forbid. What is it? When asked about the saved sect, he said:
It is the Jama'ah.هي الجماعة
He said:
What I am upon and my Companions. هي ما أنا عليه وأصحابي
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2641Da'if (Darussalam)
This does not suit him at all, because it requires him to have knowledge in which he is more ignorant than Abu Jahl. It requires him to know the path that leads him to know whether the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said this word or not, right? He cannot reach it. He is like the Jews and the Christians, who cannot prove what Moses and Jesus said, ever, except through these altered, distorted books. Do they have a connected chain of trustworthy, preserving, established men? The enemies have admitted that this distinction is for the Muslim community alone, and it is the isnad. Perhaps you have heard some of the Salaf say, "The isnad is part of the religion," and "If it were not for the isnad, whoever wished would say whatever he wished." So what is the path for this person to know whether the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) actually said that the saved sect is described thus and thus?
What I am upon and my Companions. ما أنا عليه وأصحابي
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2641Da'if (Darussalam)
He has no path at all except his intellect. And because he is here in a field where, truly, I am asking a question: he could not answer his companion who was veiled. So when we asked him, "My intellect is different from your intellect, is there a unified intellect we can return to?" He admitted there is not. So every rational person speaks as he pleases, and we cannot comprehend it. The intellect, as you know, is derived from the intellect. Since intellects are different, why do we comprehend it with which basket do we comprehend it? We have nothing but the Qur'anic text:
And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger فإن تنازعتم في شيء فردوه إلى الله والرسول
[An-Nisa 4:59]
We returned to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) to know the saved sect. No, this hadith is not authentic, we left it aside.
And whoever among you lives will see much disagreement. وإنه من يعش منكم فسيرى اختلافا كثيرا
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 17:1232
So what do we do, O Messenger of Allah? He said:
You must therefore follow my sunna and that of the rightly guided Caliphs فعليكم بسنتي وسنة الخلفاء الراشدين المهديين
Mishkat al-Masabih 165Sahīh (Zubair `Aliza'i)
Ah, what is the path to knowing what the Rightly Guided Caliphs were upon? It is the path of the isnad. He does not have this path. What is his path? No path at all. He is a man tossed about by waves and stormy winds, sometimes this way and sometimes that way. So the Muslim must be walking on the path of the believers. The path of the believers is agreed upon, with no disagreement among them, that the path of receiving hadith from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) is what the people of the Sunnah, the Mu'tazilah, and the Khawarij all return to Islam. But this is a Mu'tazili of the last days. When he reflected, he found that studying this path is very difficult. Therefore, you find that most Muslim scholars cannot distinguish the authentic from the weak, because it requires long and extensive study, knowledge of the terminology of hadith and the biographies of the narrators, which are in the thousands, and perhaps you have known even up to this moment. So he has only wild ideas, and they are not worthy of being called illusions, let alone scientific truths. So if I do not understand now what the scientific methodology this person follows is to say, "This is established from the Messenger of Allah," you said earlier, the practical Sunnah!

The questioner : Practical mass transmission.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Practical mass transmission.

The Shaykh : Practical mass transmission. Now, what is the answer regarding Hajj?

The questioner : ... As the Muslims perform Hajj ... meaning, like the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), the Companions performed Hajj with him, then those after them performed it, and so on, until the manner of Hajj was transmitted! In the main matters, of course!

The Shaykh : What you answered regarding the Muslims: they say there are three types of Hajj!

The questioner : No, they agree on three, Professor!

The Shaykh : Be patient, do not stray from the topic. The Muslim scholars, as jurists, say the types of Hajj are three. We are now asking him how he knows the Hajj of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)?

The questioner : Which one of these!

The Shaykh : ... The strongest example is that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Hajj in his blessed life, and it was one Hajj. Yet the Muslims differed on the manner of Hajj. Some said he was performing Qiran, some said he was performing Ifrad, and some said he was performing Tamattu'. So you have concluded with your new knowledge, in an innovative scientific way, that you have. Tell me, let us see now how the Hajj of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) was! The actions ... as you narrated.

The questioner : He has no answer.

The Shaykh : So he cannot perform Hajj except according to a school of thought, and he will be a follower of a scholar (mقلid), and the follower is a beast that is led, while he wants to lead the Ummah. And as you heard, he wants to unite the Muslims. Allahu Akbar, this divides the Muslims when he adopts a means that no one acknowledges. The scholars, before all people, do not acknowledge this means. So how can he unite them? It means he wants to divide them. What do we want to call it? It is the will. Yes, in terms of the result, there is a hadith for the sake of benefit:
Whoever lies about me deliberately to mislead people with it, let him take his place in the Fire. من كذب عليّ متعمدا ليضل الناس به فليتبوّء مقعده من النار
The hadith without the addition "to mislead people." As there is another hadith:
And whoever innovates a bid'ah that is not approved by Allah and His Messenger, upon him is its sin and the sin of whoever works by it until the Day of Resurrection. ومن ابتدع بدعة لا يرضاها الله ورسوله فعليه وزرها و وزر من عمل بها إلى يوم القيامة
Also an addition that Allah and His Messenger do not approve of, and it is not established in the hadith. But what do the scholars say? If this addition or that were established, it would be for the sake of the outcome, not regarding the intention. That is, whoever lies about me deliberately to mislead people, this is the lam of the outcome, they call it. So when people lie, the liar misleads, it is not necessary that his intention is to mislead people. No, this is the lam of the outcome. This lie about the Messenger of Allah will be a cause of misleading people.

The questioner : It is not the lam of causation.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : It is not the lam of causation.

The Shaykh : Yes, so now we say this man, with this style, wants to divide people. He wants to divide people. I do not want to say intentionally, this is also with my Lord, but his action will mislead people without doubt. Because any person who wants to unite people, and I wanted to say earlier, what is the means to unite the Muslims and establish the desired Islamic state, may Allah will it? What is it? Dividing the Muslims into new sects, and that the hadith and isnads have no value, and we judge by the intellect. One intellect in one form, and the second intellect in another form, and the third and fourth, and so on. So we must follow the path of the Muslims:
And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers ومن يشاقق الرسول من بعد ما تبيّن له الهدى ويتبع غير سبيل المؤمنين
