What is the ruling on going to Bosnia to help?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Now, regarding another question about the matter of our brothers in Bosnia.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : I heard that you told some of the brothers who wanted to go and help with their own bodies, "Struggle against yourselves."

The Shaykh : Yes, that is correct.

The questioner : So does this mean you do not advise going there?

The Shaykh : Yes, that is so

The questioner : Do you not see that the people there are in need of help?

The Shaykh : How could I not see it? How could I not see it? But is the help to be found in increasing the destruction of believing souls without any expected benefit? Where is the preparation that we were commanded to do in the Noble Qur'an?

The questioner : If there is a benefit.

The Shaykh : If you believe that there is a benefit, then it is obligatory.

The questioner: Okay

The Shaykh : Hello, hello.

The questioner : Yes, I agree with you.

The Shaykh : So do you believe?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : What is the benefit?

The questioner : There are weak Muslims there.

The Shaykh : My brother, do not tell me about the reality; tell me what the benefit is?

The questioner : The benefit is to assist them, help them, and support them.

The Shaykh : May Allah guide you. Assisting them requires the help of states, not individuals and persons. The matter requires organized, trained armies equipped with modern weapons. It requires tanks, it requires planes, it requires, ah, ah, and so on. What are you talking about? Individual means? This means that if we sent a thousand people from here or there, they would just be food for the Fire. What would they do against the tanks and destroyers? Glory be to Allah. I am amazed at the Muslim youth; how do they not look at these issues except as the old Arab proverb says, "So-and-so does not look beyond the tip of his nose." I asked you if there is a benefit, and you said yes. What is the benefit? That they are weak? As if, may Allah guide you, O Abu Suhayb, I do not know that they are weak, and that they are few in number and in weapons, first in relation to the Serbs, and second in relation to the states supporting them, especially the Americans, who are the ones who destroyed the crops and the offspring.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : Do you not know these facts?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : How can you say there is a benefit? There is a benefit for the aimless destruction of Muslims. And this experience in Afghanistan, do you imagine that jihad can be established in Bosnia and Herzegovina better than it was in Afghanistan?

The questioner : No

The Shaykh : And what was the result there? The result was that we harvested bitter gourd.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : And we destroyed the crops and the offspring because we opposed the Shari'ah in many, many issues. The most apparent of them, as the bad outcomes indicated, is
and do not be of those who associate others with Allah (32) [Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has.
[Ar-Rum 30:31-32]
seven parties fighting one party, which is the Communist party, a disbelieving Communist party. Three Muslim parties. How did this happen? And therefore, do not forget, even if your home is far from us, do not forget the principle. It is necessary to start with purification and education.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : And then remember the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.
[Ash-Shuraa 42:30]
And we ask Allah the Exalted to support our Muslim brothers in all Islamic lands. But, unfortunately, our Lord, as He said in the Noble Qur'an:
the established way of Allah with those who passed on before; and you will not find in the way of Allah any change.
[Al-Ahzab 33:62]
and you will not find in the way of Allah any change.
[Al-Ahzab 33:62]
Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.
[Ar-Ra'd 13:11]
And therefore, if we want to support one of the Muslim peoples, first of all, we must support Islam in our own homeland. And we do not support our Islam in our own homeland. And therefore, affliction has befallen us in all Islamic lands. And we regret this. But we ask Allah the Exalted to treat the individuals of the Muslims with the true promise:
Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world
[Ghafir 40:51]
A group of people from my Umma will always remain triumphant on the right path and continue to be triumphant (against their opponents). He who deserts them shall not be able to do them any harm. They will remain in this position until Allah's Command is executed (i.e. Qiyamah is established).
Sahih Muslim 1920
Have you had enough of this amount, O Abu Suhayb?

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : And may it be the same for you, if Allah wills. Perhaps I will hear your voice soon.

The questioner : May Allah bless you, if Allah wills.

The Shaykh : And my greetings to those with you, along with my advice to follow them with the words of Allah the Exalted:
So flee to Allah
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:50]

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And you,

The questioner : Shaykh, likewise, greetings to all the brothers with you. May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And this is for Abu Abdullah. Do you know Abu Abdullah?

The questioner : Abu Abdullah.

The Shaykh : 'Aziz, 'Aziz Khadr.

The questioner : No

The Shaykh : Do you not know him?

The questioner : Greet him.

The Shaykh : Abu Layla : Abu Ahmad.Abu Layla : Do you know him?

The questioner : I know him.Abu Layla : The one who was in Zarqa.

The Shaykh : And he is still in Zarqa, and he is now greeting you in turn.

The questioner: And upon him peace.

The Shaykh : Now, is there any other need?

The questioner : May Allah bless you and reward you.

The Shaykh : And to you, if Allah wills. And peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

The questioner : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
