Fasting on Thursday is a recommended practice. So, do we obey him? Who denies fasting on Thursday? We do not deny fasting on Thursday, but we deny fasting on the day of the festival, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
He prohibited fasting on the two days of the festival. نهى عن صوم يوم العيدين
