Explanation of the prohibition of fasting on the two days of Eid

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is forbidden to fast on the two days of Eid, Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr
The student: He goes by one road and comes back by another road

The Shaykh : We have mentioned this
The student: Coming, for example, to the farthest road.

The Shaykh : No, it is not obligatory.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : No, no.
The student: Fasting six days of Shawwal

The Shaykh : It has no connection to the Eid, O Shaykh. Fasting six days of Shawwal has no connection to the Eid. We limit ourselves to this. Yes.
The student: ...

The Shaykh : We are content with this amount, and I ask Allah to help us in implementing it, because the purpose of knowledge is not merely attaining knowledge and looking at it; the purpose of knowledge is acting upon it. Knowledge is a means, and its fruit is action. Knowledge without action is ignorance, which is better than it. Implementation is necessary. If we know the rulings related to the Eid, whether Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr, then our duty is to act.
