A man who has intercourse with his wife before the onset of menstruation, and after the completion of intercourse, menstrual blood appears; what is his obligation?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A man had intercourse with his wife before the onset of menstruation, and after the completion of intercourse, menstrual blood appeared; what is his obligation?

The Shaykh : Yes, if a man has intercourse with his wife before her menstruation begins, and during that time menstruation occurs, he owes nothing. Likewise, if he has intercourse with her after she has started menstruating and he did not know, he owes nothing. This is because we have a great principle, which is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. ربنا لا تؤاخذنا إن نسينا أو أخطأنا
[Al-Baqarah 2:286]
This principle encompasses every forbidden thing. If a person does any forbidden thing while forgetting or unaware, he owes nothing; he owes nothing. Yes.
