The Shaykh : A temporary incapacity that is expected to end, such as a person suffering from a common illness, is ruled as follows: he breaks his fast and makes up the days he missed, based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days ومن كان مريضا أو على سفر فعدة من أيام أخر
[Al-Baqarah 2:185]
