The Shaykh : The third section: That the intended meaning of "hearing" is to clarify the comprehensiveness of Allah's hearing of all things. Among the evidence for this is the saying of Allah the Exalted: [Al-Mujadila 58:1] This woman came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was in the mosque, complaining to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about her husband. Then Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Mujadila 58:1] Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Praise be to Allah, whose hearing encompasses all voices. I was in the chamber, and some of her conversation was hidden from me." Allahu Akbar. Where is Allah, Mighty and Majestic? He is in the sky, above His Throne, above everything, and yet He hears the complaint of this woman and her argument with the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Messenger's response to her. So here, what is the intended meaning of "hearing"? It is to clarify the comprehensiveness of Allah's hearing of all that is heard.
