Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is far, or if you wish, say near; it is valid for a person to give his zakah to him, for he is more deserving than the far one. This is the rule. We ask Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, to make us and you among those who guide and are guided.
On the occasion of speaking about zakah, and on the occasion of the proximity of giving zakat al-fitr, we will speak briefly about zakat al-fitr.
Zakat al-fitr is an obligation that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made obligatory for the male and the female, the young and the old, the free and the slave, among the Muslims. So it is obligatory, a fard, even for the young children who do not fast; it is obligatory that zakat al-fitr be paid on their behalf.
