The timing of paying zakat al-fitr.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is not to be paid out except on the morning of the festival before the prayer, or on the night of the festival, or on the last day of Ramadan, or on the day before that, meaning two days before the festival. Based on this, we do not pay out zakat al-fitr tomorrow. Why? Because there is a possibility that the month will be thirty days, and in that case, we would have paid it out more than two days before the festival. Rather, we wait and pay it out on the ninth and twentieth, and on the thirtieth day. If it turns out that the month did not reach thirty days, then it is paid out on the twenty-ninth day and on the night of the festival. The best time to pay it out is on the day of the festival before the prayer.
