The Shaykh : And his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. As for what follows: This is the seventh session in this blessed ten-day period of the month of Ramadan in the year 1411 AH, on the twenty-seventh night, in which we hope that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) will encompass us and you with His mercy in this blessed month, and make us among those who fasted and stood in prayer in it with faith and seeking of reward.
O my brothers, the occasions of the Shari'ah open the chest, illuminate the heart, and affect a person's conduct and his methodology in his life if he utilizes them in obedience to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), utilizing them in the worship of Allah, not utilizing them in a matter that proceeds as if it were something ordinary that he has become accustomed to, magnifying it outwardly but not inwardly. For if a thing is not from the heart and in the heart, the winds will scatter it soon. But if it is in the heart and from the heart, it remains and is established, for it is in a firm foundation.
