Speaking on the importance of utilizing the nights of Ramadan in worship.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows: This is the night, the night of Sunday, the third of the month of Ramadan, in the year 1417. The meeting in this session is a continuation of the previous meeting, as there were many questions that we were unable to answer. However, there is no objection to speaking about what is facilitated so that these questions can be presented, if Allah wills. In this year, 1417, Muslims, especially in this Arabian Peninsula, are observing the month of Ramadan in a moderate climate, resembling the climate of spring, although people in these days are experiencing the coldest part of the winter. This is undoubtedly a blessing from Allah. O Allah, to You belongs all praise. We ask Allah to complete it with acceptance. It is also evidence that the matter is in the hands of Allah the Mighty and Majestic, and that He is the One to whom all affairs are referred, and that customs may be overturned by the Lord of the earth and the heavens. The time of cold may be moderate. And moderation may also come in the days of heat, not heat, because the matter is in the hands of Allah the Mighty and Majestic. He does what He wills. This climate we are living in these days is a moderate climate, as we said, with long nights and short days. Fasting becomes easier for Muslims, and the good in the nights increases for those who are successful. Therefore, we say: Seize, O my brother, these precious times. Sleep at night as much as is facilitated, and worship Allah as much as is facilitated. Make the day a day of righteous work, not a day of sleep as some negligent people do, negligent, negligent, negligent in missing out on righteous deeds. You find them staying up all night and sleeping all day, except that they rise for what Allah has obligated upon them, such as prayers and others. But they are deprived, because their staying up all night is not for tahajjud or reading the Qur'an; for most of those who stay up, it is merely to pass the time and kill the time without benefit. Rather, some of them kill the time to their own harm, to the harm of their religion, their character, and their families. And this is a great deprivation. In this suitable climate, you should sleep at night. And when you stand with the imam until he concludes, Allah writes for you the standing of a complete night, even if you were in your sleep. O Allah, to You belongs all praise. For this reason, when the Companions said to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): "If you would let us off the rest of our night," meaning: If you would leave us to stand until morning, he said:
Indeed, whoever stands (praying) with the Imam until he finished, then it is recorded for him that he prayed the whole night. إنه من قام مع الإمام حتى ينصرف كتب له قيام ليلة
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 806Sahih (Darussalam)
. He did not say, "Pray in your homes." He did not say, "Pray in your homes," indicating that a person should make things easy for himself, as long as Allah the Exalted has written for you the standing of a night if you stand with the imam until he concludes, so lighten the burden on yourself.
