If one delays the prayer beyond its time without an excuse, it is not accepted from him.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : If a man delays the prayer beyond its time without an excuse and then prays it, is it accepted from him?
The answer: It is not accepted from him. It is not accepted from him if he delays it beyond its time without an excuse, even if he prays it a thousand times. For this reason, the stronger opinion among the scholars' views is that if a person intentionally delays the prayer beyond its time and then prays it, it is not accepted, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever does a deed that is not in accordance with our matter, it is rejected. من عمل عملا ليس علينا أمرنا فهو رد
: That is, it is rejected from him. And it is known that if a person delays the prayer beyond its time for no excuse, he has done an act for which there is no command from Allah and His Messenger, so it is rejected.
However, if he delays the prayer for an excuse, such as forgetting that he had prayed, and when the time has passed he remembers that he had not prayed, then he prays it.
Likewise, if he sleeps and has no one to wake him and no means to wake up, until the time has passed and then he wakes up, he prays it and it is accepted from him, because he delayed it for an excuse.
