Does what disturbs the one praying, such as urination, defecation, and passing gas, fall under the same category as eating?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And does what disturbs a person, such as urination, defecation, and passing gas, fall under the same category as food and drink and other things that the soul is attached to? We say: If a person needs to urinate or defecate, he does not pray until he has relieved himself?
Answer: Yes, it falls under the same category. In fact, in Sahih Muslim, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
No Salat (prayer) can be (rightly offered) with food brought (before the worshiper) or when he is resisting the urge to relive himself of the two filths (i.e. urine and feces). لا صلاة بحضرة طعام ولا هو يدافعه الأخبثان
Bulugh al-Maram 2:119
, meaning urination and defecation. Passing gas is like that; some people have severe gas that disturbs them. So we say: relieve this gas and these gases, then turn to your prayer.
