For Allah is that group, for they *** were chosen with a pure portion from the Most Merciful (Among the meanings of diminution is endearment)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then he said:
"For Allah is that group, for they *** were chosen with a pure portion from the Most Merciful"
Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality إنا أخلصناهم بخالصة
[Sad 38:46]
And how happy is the one whom Allah the Exalted chooses with a pure portion of blessings. This group was chosen with a pure portion. But we have a point of discussion: "For Allah is that group": "Dhiyak" is a diminutive form, even though their rank is high. However, diminution can be intended to express endearment. Even in our colloquial language, we say: "Ya Halil", what does this mean? It is an expression of endearment. From this is the saying of the Messenger of Allah to Ibn Abbas:
O young man يا غليم
as an expression of endearment. And Ibn al-Qayyim mentioned in his *al-Nuniyyah*, when he spoke of the listening to music in Paradise, that he said:
"Oh, for that listening, and how *** little I diminish it with my tongue"
Here he did not say it was a diminutive for this group. This group is the best of the groups, yes.
"For Allah is that group, for they *** were chosen with a pure portion from the Most Merciful".
