(Clarifying that exaggeration regarding the Messenger of Allah leads to shirk [associating partners with Allah]) But we have spoken the words of a loud cry *** at all times among you with a call
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then he said:
"But we have spoken the words of a loud cry *** at all times among you with a call"
This means that we do not care to speak the truth and cry out with it among you, as Allah the Exalted said to His Prophet:[Az-Zumar 39:14-15] So the believer cries out with the truth, does not care, and challenges the people of falsehood.
"But we have spoken the words of a loud cry *** at all times among you with a call
The Lord is Lord and the Messenger, so worship Him *** " The Lord is Lord and the Messenger is a servant, yes. "truly, and we have no second god" Rather, Allah is One.
"Therefore, we did not worship Him" That is, we did not worship the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) like the worship of al-Rahman, as the polytheist Christian did. The Christian worshipped the Messenger. Allah sent 'Isa to the Christians, and their affair ended up with them exaggerating in him until they made him a second god.
"No, and we did not exaggerate as the Messenger *** forbade, fearing disbelief"
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) warned us against exaggerating in him. Why? So that it does not lead to shirk [associating partners with Allah] and kufr [disbelief]. Therefore, he said: "fearing disbelief" Because exaggeration regarding a person attributes him to the status of a god and attributes the one who exaggerates to being a mushrik [one who associates partners with Allah]. So, we place the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) in his proper station and make the right of Allah for Him alone, with no other associated with Him in that.
"But we have spoken the words of a loud cry *** at all times among you with a call"
This means that we do not care to speak the truth and cry out with it among you, as Allah the Exalted said to His Prophet:
(14) Say, "Allah [alone] do I worship, sincere to Him in my religion, (15) So worship what you will besides Him."
