And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is pleased with us, and there is no excess *** Shirk is the root of idol worship (Clarifying that excess is the root of shirk)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is pleased with us" means that we did not intend anything other than "the pleasure of Allah, and there is no excess *** shirk" meaning we did not intend the excess of shirk, "which is the root of idol worship"
As Imam Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Wahhab (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Chapter on what has come regarding the fact that excess in the graves of the righteous turns them into idols worshipped besides Allah" So excess is the root of shirk, and for this reason he said: "There is no excess; shirk is the root of idol worship" So excess is the root of worship, and for this reason the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited excess.
