(Explanation of the first thing a visitor to the Prophet's Mosque should do: praying the greeting of the mosque before greeting the Messenger of Allah) So when we come to the Prophet's Mosque, we pray

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said:
"So when we come to the Prophet's Mosque, we pray the greeting first, two units"
For whom? For Allah (Mighty and Majestic). When you enter the Prophet's Mosque, the first thing you do is pray two units, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
If anyone of you enters a Mosque, he should not sit until he has offered a tworak` at prayer. إذا دخل أحدكم المسجد فلا يجلس حتى يصلي ركعتين
Sahih al-Bukhari 1167
He says:
"With the completion of its pillars, its humility, and the presence of heart, the action of one who excels in worship"
This means that one should pray it completely, with its pillars, its obligatory acts, and its conditions, along with the humility of the heart. By this, he intended to point to what some ignorant people do; you find one who wants to start first by visiting the grave. When he is told to pray two units, he prays them quickly and carelessly, with his heart attached to the grave, not in a state of humility. Yes, Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) intended by this to draw attention to the fact that one should not rush through these two units, but rather pray them with tranquility and humility.
