The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) says: “It is a condition,” he says: “A chapter on clarifying the conditions for the sufficiency of the two texts and relying on the two revelations. The two texts are the text of the Book and the Sunnah, and the two revelations are the Book and the Sunnah.” He said:
“And the sufficiency of the two texts is conditional upon the purity of receiving from them in meaning”
This means that it is a condition for the sufficiency of the two texts for one who argues with them that they be pure in receiving from them in their meanings. The meaning of “pure” is that one does not look to anything other than them, making their argument and their taking of meanings from the two texts and nothing else. This is what is intended by the condition of purity.
