“This, and we differed with them in the Qur’an, just *** as you differ regarding the ‘above’ of the Most Merciful
The Ash‘ari explicitly affirms the rising above the Throne *** and the exaltation with utmost clarity
And he explicitly affirms the two hands *** and the face of the Lord of the Throne, the One of authority
And he explicitly affirms that our Lord, *** (Glorified and Exalted is He), has two looking eyes
And he explicitly affirms the descending *** of our Lord toward the near, lofty place”.
