The questioner: Praise be to Allah; we praise Him, seek His help, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah the Exalted from the evil of our own souls and from the evil of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whoever He misguides, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. As for what follows, the truest of speech is the speech of Allah, the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are their innovations. Every innovation is a religious innovation, every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. Then, as for what follows, the one who looks, O my brothers, may Allah bless you, preserve you, complete His blessings upon you, and raise your rank above many of His creation, the one who looks at these faces—I think them, and Allah is their accountant, and I do not declare anyone pure but Allah—the Somali, the Albanian, the Yugoslav, and the Arab from his various countries and cities. This group of people who gathered without any kinship between them and without any trade in which they share, they did not gather except for Allah and in Allah. In the hadiths, it is stated that among those whom the prophets envy are groups who loved one another for the sake of Allah. Indeed, in the good hadith, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked his companions one day, "Which bond of faith is the strongest?" They said, "Prayer." He said
It is a good thing, but it is not that one. إنها لحسنة وليست بتلك
They said, "Zakah." He said
It is a good thing, but it is not that one. إنها لحسنةكذلك وليست بتلك
The narrator says that when he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that they had listed the ordinances of Islam but had not reached what he wanted, he said
The strongest bond of faith is love for the sake of Allah. أوثق عرى الإيمان الحب في الله
Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 24:113
Thus, and Allah knows best, this is the text. I have not seen a tracing of this text. The Shaykh : He said
Love for the sake of Allah.الحب في الله
meaning I did not find it in them. And hatred for the sake of Allah is perhaps understood in the same way. So, praise be to Allah, meaning we know, and Allah knows the inner state of each one, that these young men did not gather except out of love for Allah and love for His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). So I see, and Allah knows best, that it is a selection and choice from Allah. They came after an obligatory prayer on a noble day, they gathered, indeed they hastened to meet the virtue ofThe Shaykh : listening to him, drinking from his knowledge, and enjoying sitting with him. So we ask Allah Mighty and Majestic to make this blessing permanent for you and to take care of you as He takes care of His righteous slaves. He is the One who is capable of that and the One who has power over it. And may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad, and may Allah thank you, and peace be upon you.

The Shaykh: May Allah reward you with good. You have honored us and preached to us.

The questioner: May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh: And may Allah accept from us and from you righteous deeds. Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You.
