The ruling on uncovering the deceased.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Recently, during the rain and snow, some of the graves collapsed and... so the brothers dug up these graves and rebuilt them a second time, and they uncovered the deceased. Is this permissible?

The Shaykh : Did they intentionally uncover him, or was it because of the snow?

The questioner : No, it was because of the snow. They filled the grave over the deceased.

The Shaykh : I mean, they did not uncover him, right? There is a difference.

The questioner : ... They put dirt on top of him. He has been dead for ten years now, or twelve years.

The Shaykh : My point is that if they intentionally uncovered the deceased, it is not permissible. But if the deceased was uncovered, and they just wanted to remove the dirt and stones and then restore the grave to how it was, there is no objection. The important thing is that they do not intend to uncover him.
